Social Impact Reports

Social Impact Reports highlight the real difference every Building Value project makes for our community, environment, and workforce. After each deconstruction or cleanout project, we create a detailed report that documents key outcomes—such as how many pounds of materials were diverted from the landfill, how many trainees gained hands-on construction experience, and the potential tax benefits earned by our clients. These reports help tell the full story behind each project, showing how responsible demolition and material recovery can transform a routine renovation or cleanout into something that benefits the broader community.

    Potential Tax Benefits

We'll do a thorough walk through of the property to document what's salvageable and prepare a quote.
A qualified independent appraiser will estimate the salvage value and the cost to prepare all tax documents.
We'll quote the deconstruction project and get started when you're ready. A full home deconstruction can take approx. one month.
We'll photo document the salvaged items for the appraiser and bill you for the deconstruction.
The appraiser completes the 8283 IRS forms, if the job warrants a tax deduction. (IRS rules prohibit us from doing this.)

Only a tax professional can determine if you qualify for a tax deduction from Building Value deconstruction services.
An estimate of value from a qualified appraiser is required.
