Bobby Walker
Building Value’s Graduate of the Year
Bobby was a generous 24-year-old who loved his job driving a bus. He was always there for his mother and three siblings whenever they needed him.
Then he made a big mistake that cost him his job. With a conviction on his record, Bobby despaired of ever earning a decent wage again.
He came to Building Value asking for the chance to prove he was a hard worker who could be trusted. He immediately excelled in the retail outlet. He was beginning to learn deconstruction when his skills, determination, and a recommendation from Building Value landed him a job with CHC Fabricating.
Bobby has flourished at CHC, learning basic welding and taking on the challenge of reading blueprints. His efforts have been rewarded with wage increases and bonuses.
Last December, Bobby was able to buy everyone in his family a nice Christmas present—something he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to do again. He’s living proof of the power of a second chance.
