These are authentic Ludowici-Celadon clay roof tiles, made by one of America’s most respected roof tile manufacturers. Ludowici tile tops historic homes, university campuses (like the stunning Principia College), and landmark buildings across the country, and it’s been made in New Lexington, Ohio, for more than a century. Each tile is stamped on the back with the original Ludowici-Celadon Co., Chicago mark, a name the company used before it became Ludowici Roof Tile in 1994.
Each flat interlocking tile measures 8.5″ wide by 11″ long, with a finely ribbed face, side lugs that lock neighboring tiles together, and pre-drilled nail holes. The brick-red clay body has weathered to a rich, mottled cocoa brown that new tile can’t easily match.
We have 25 nearly full pallets, enough to cover an estimated 2,200 square feet of roof (after allowing for breakage and cuts). That’s roughly the size of a typical single-family home. These tiles are well suited for re-roofing a Tudor Revival or other historic home, repairing or matching an existing Ludowici roof, or adding old-world character to a garage, garden shed, or pavilion.

Sold as-is. Tiles have been stored outdoors and show weathering, dirt, and color variation. Some tiles have chipped corners or edges. Coverage is an estimate; please inspect before purchase and consult a roofing professional to confirm the quantity and fit for your project.
