Our Open House last Saturday was a huge success—and it’s all thanks to YOU!
We were thrilled to welcome neighbors, customers, partners, and friends to celebrate the exciting changes to our store. From newly renovated spaces and fresh exterior updates to good food and great conversations, the day was a celebration of everything Building Value stands for.
At the heart of it all is our mission: to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and create life-changing job opportunities for people overcoming barriers to employment. That mission touches every part of our work—from salvaging and reselling quality building materials to providing hands-on training in construction, deconstruction, and warehouse logistics. Events like our Open House are more than just a party—they’re a reflection of the progress, partnerships, and people that drive us forward.
We want to give a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make the day so special:
Messer Construction – for helping connect our crew to meaningful, career-building job sites
The Plant Trolley – for the beautiful blooms that brought life to our new storefront
Dave and Olivia Rickerd – for creating the stunning new mural that celebrates our community’s creativity and resilience
Terry Brueneman, our fearless Retail Manager, for his endless work on repainting, renovating, and remodeling the entire store
Elijah Daniels, our talented crewmember, for assembling the grill with care and precision
Our entire staff and crew – for working hard behind the scenes to prep the store, welcome guests, and keep the day running smoothly
And YOU – our community – for showing up, showing love, and standing with us in our mission
Throughout the day, everyone on staff got a turn at the grill—proving once again that our team brings passion and purpose to everything we do.
