This custom-built desk and hutch is the kind of piece that makes a home office feel like a library. It’s crowned with dentil crown molding, and the hutch offers plenty of storage: a two-door upper cabinet with adjustable shelving, open bookshelves on both sides and a generous open nook above the desktop for a monitor, books or display pieces.

The desk base is just as well made. It has a cabinet on one side, center drawers, and a pedestal on the other with a utility drawer over a deep file drawer fitted for hanging folders. The drawers are dovetail-jointed boxes on full-extension slides, the doors hang on European-style concealed hinges, and polished brass knobs finish the look. It’s the kind of craftsmanship you’d expect from built-in cabinetry, ready for a home office, study or library wall.
